So you’ve finished with your basic lighthouse decorating, but don’t forget the outside! While it’s true you can’t very well have lighthouse pictures placed in your yard, you can think about purchasing a lighthouse birdhouse. They come in many styles, but their form remains true.

Newport Beach California has the highest per-capita ownership of Mercedes Benz automobiles in the entire world. I worked as a caterer near Newport for awhile and waited on small, friend-and-family Christmas gatherings which included 200-name guest lists, carolers, magicians, and dozens of staff. In order to reach the house where the party was being hosted I had to get past an armed security guard at the gatehouse that kept the riff-raff out of the gated community.

Though the clientele is posh and the real-estate astronomically expensive, it isn’t tough to imagine why the rich decided to settle there. Newport Beach California is a beautiful area, with around 300 days of sunshine a year and beautiful views of Catalina Island and the Pacific Ocean. Thanks to the influx of money in the area, Newport boasts a great school system and amazing restaurants.

On a nice day you can walk for hours up and down the boardwalk, people watching and checking out the surfers lined up on the breakers. Sure, the rent for a two-bedroom apartment may be more in Newport than the mortgage payment on a house in many parts of the country, it’s a pretty good bet that those houses aren’t a block from the beach and less than an hour from Hollywood or L.A.

One of the most useful baby shower gifts that you can buy for a woman who is expecting is a changing table. This wonderful invention has saved my back and my mattress from utter annihilation. I did not know how valuable the changing table was until I didn’t have one. I just took it for granted without realizing how useful it really is.

I discovered the importance of this baby necessity while were in the midst of moving into our new home. The changing table was safely tucked away in the moving truck. I instructed my husband and his friends to put it in the front of the truck because it was not an absolute necessity and we could wait until more important items were moved before taking it out. My husband asked me if I was sure in a way that almost made me think twice about the decision.

Soon I wished that I had really thought the decision through. I did not really think about how often I used the changing table and I certainly did not realize how uncomfortable I would be without it. My husband did wonder why I would give up something that I used so often, but I did not even consider how much I used the changing table and how useful it really was.

The first thing I noticed was that the height of the changing station is very important when it comes to your lower back. When I changed my daughter’s diaper on the floor, I was bent in an awkward position that left a knot the size of an orange in my lower back. I also had discomfort when I changed her on my bed. I was bent at just such and angle that the knot tightened and I had trouble straightening back up. I never had this problem with the changing table.

I also did not consider that the changing table was a valuable storage unit. It was the perfect organizational station for the baby’s changing needs. I found myself looking all over the place for ointment, powder and diapers and with little success. The table was actually too convenient. It just left me with no concerns.

The final straw was the few accidents that the baby had while I was changing her. I was really disappointed in the wet spot on my mattress, especially because it was on my side of the bed. I told my husband that the first thing we needed to unpack once we got to the new home was the changing table. It is now considered one of the most important pieces of furniture in the house.
